Jacob Bridgeman won the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club with a final score of 18-under 266, finishing one shot ahead of Rory McIlroy and Kurt Kitayama. Bridgeman, playing Riviera for the first time, entered the final round with a six-shot lead that expanded to seven shots through 12 holes. He struggled down the stretch, making bogeys on holes 4, 7, and 16, and failed to make a birdie over the final 15 holes.
McIlroy, who started the day six shots back, was even par through the front nine before rallying with four birdies on the back nine, including a bunker hole-out on the 12th and consecutive birdies on 17 and 18. His 30-foot birdie putt on 18 got him within one shot. Bridgeman responded by making a nerve-testing 3-foot par putt to secure the victory.
The 26-year-old from South Carolina earned $4 million and his first PGA Tour title at a signature event. He became the first player since Adam Scott in 2005 to win at Riviera on his tournament debut. The victory moves Bridgeman inside the top 25 in world rankings and comes after a strong start to his 2026 season that included two top-10 finishes in his first four events.
