Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using newsrally.com (the “Service”), operated by Rosscomp, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

NewsRally is an AI-powered news bias detection platform. We analyze articles from major news sources, cluster coverage of the same stories, and produce unbiased headlines with bias analysis including Bias Score ratings. The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes.

User Accounts

Some features of the Service require a user account. When you create an account:

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You may not create multiple accounts for abusive purposes
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You can sign up with an email address and password, or by linking your Google account. If you sign in with Google, you authorize us to access your name and email address from your Google profile.

Service Tiers

The Service is available in multiple tiers:

• Anonymous: No account required. Full access to headlines and analysis for the most recent 7 days.
• Free: Requires an account. Full archive access, source trends, and bookmarks.
• Pro: Paid subscription ($3.99/month). Ad-free experience, daily email digest, and full archive access. See “Paid Subscriptions” below for billing terms.

We reserve the right to modify the features available in each tier. Free access to basic features (reading recent headlines and analysis) will always be available without an account.

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All headlines, summaries, bias analyses, Bias Scores, and other editorial content on NewsRally are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy:

• AI content may contain errors. Our analysis is automated and may misinterpret, misattribute, or inaccurately characterize source material.
• Bias Scores are estimates, not absolutes. Bias measurement is inherently subjective. Our scoring system provides a useful indicator but should not be treated as definitive.
• Always read primary sources. NewsRally is a tool for awareness and media literacy, not a replacement for reading original reporting or exercising critical thinking.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content on the Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Service at scale without permission
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Misrepresent NewsRally content as your own original reporting
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or target individuals or organizations
• Create accounts using automated means or false information
• Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access to your account
• Circumvent access controls or authentication mechanisms

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at privacy@newsrally.com. Upon deletion, your personal data and bookmarks will be permanently removed.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or are used for unauthorized purposes. We will provide notice where practical before termination.

Email Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive the following transactional emails:

• Welcome email upon account creation
• Account verification and password reset emails
• Subscription confirmation and cancellation notices (Pro subscribers)

Pro subscribers also receive a daily email digest summarizing the day's top headlines. The digest is a feature of the Pro subscription and is sent for as long as your subscription is active. You can cancel your subscription at any time to stop receiving the digest.

We do not send marketing or promotional emails without your explicit consent.

Intellectual Property

The NewsRally name, logo, Bias Score system, and website design are the property of Rosscomp, LLC. Our AI-generated headlines and analyses are original works produced by our systems.

Source article titles, quotes, and excerpts displayed on the Service remain the property of their respective publishers. We display this content under fair use for the purpose of news commentary, criticism, and media literacy education.

You may share links to NewsRally pages and quote our analysis with attribution. You may not reproduce substantial portions of our content without permission.

Third-Party Links

The Service contains links to third-party news websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of external sites. Visiting linked sites is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Advertisements

The Service may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense and other advertising partners. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Ad display does not constitute endorsement of the advertised products or services. Pro subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.

Paid Subscriptions

NewsRally Pro is a paid subscription billed at $3.99 per month. By subscribing, you agree to the following billing terms:

• Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews each month on the anniversary of your signup date. You will be charged $3.99 each billing cycle until you cancel.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain Pro access until then and will not be charged again.
• Refunds: A full refund is available within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase. After 7 days, no refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
• Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Price changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle after the notice period.

Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full credit card number. See our Privacy Policy for details on payment data handling.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rosscomp, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not liable for any decisions made based on our AI-generated content.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of New Jersey.
